Mostly I valued the challenging spirit of the program, where working alongside consultants with high expectations became a driving force for skill development and adaptability across various roles. A particularly meaningful project for me was a five-month rotation in Australia, where I assumed immediate responsibility for leading the expansion into New Zealand and successfully launching products from the Australian pipeline. The diverse community at Inhouse Consulting allowed me to connect with people from all over the world, making my time in the program truly memorable and fun.
By constantly rotating through the projects, I learned the operational methods and decision-making processes of different management teams and being in these different positions allowed me to create a network of like-minded people. Becoming part of the incredible alumni community was also an invaluable aspect of my career development.
In general, having been part of Inhouse Consulting was a career booster, because its reputation precedes us. The Graduate program also enables you to broaden your internal network rapidly as you transition through your different projects. At the end of the two years, I had different transition opportunities, including some in teams where I did rotations, but instead I decided to join Group Strategy where I had not worked. I made that choice to widen my experiences before joining Healthcare R&D.
Don´t be scared to go all the way! As part of this unique program, you will work closely with driven colleagues and have access to diverse opportunities to advance your career. Talking to a current trainee can help guide you with the application process, but most importantly prepare yourself for the case cracking and be ready to answer questions about the company. Don´t give up in the middle of the process; to succeed, you must try!

What I loved about Inhouse Consulting was the global exposure across the company, including Group Functions and Initiatives on group level. There was always a new problem to solve – while having autonomy over projects, and teaming with some of the smartest and nicest colleagues!
Inhouse Consulting has significantly contributed to my career development in multiple ways. From collaborating with a broad spectrum of teams and tackling new challenges to diversifying my market experience through a move from the US to APAC, the opportunities provided have expanded my network, enhanced my skills, and broadened my perspective.
The transition process from Inhouse Consulting was smooth, thanks to the valuable relationships I had built. These connections helped me secure a newly created position within the organization, fostering my continued growth.
For applicants interested in our Inhouse Consulting, my advice is to embrace the opportunity to explore beyond a single sector. Inhouse Consulting allows you to dive into diverse topics and sectors, uncovering potential interests you may not have known existed. Additionally, prioritize building long-lasting relationships with colleagues you enjoy working with, as these connections can bring valuable support and personal fulfillment throughout your career journey.

I am fascinated by the diverse array of topics, individuals, talents, methodologies, and cultural experiences that our Inhouse Consulting provides. What truly stands out is the unique opportunity to actively shape and contribute to your own project, allowing you to immerse yourself in this rich tapestry of possibilities.
Commencing my career at our Inhouse Consulting significantly honed my capacity to swiftly adapt to a diverse range of topics, individuals, and work settings. Transitioning from academia to consulting, I learned that it is perfectly acceptable not to be the subject matter expert when you can strategically pose targeted questions. This experience has been instrumental in my professional growth.
My final assignment in the Integration Office served as the gateway to my transition into the newly expanded Business Unit, Semiconductor Materials. In hindsight, I've found that maintaining strong connections with colleagues encountered along this journey and openly communicating my interests and availability were pivotal in identifying the ideal role for my transition strategy.
Any prospective applicants I would like to encourage: Embrace your eagerness to learn, embrace change with open arms, be proactive, embrace your ability to take on various roles, and cherish the joy of being a collaborative team player. These qualities will not only open the doors but also contribute to creating a warm and thriving environment.
