OPERATIONS LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (OLDP)
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The OLDP program aims to provide participants with a comprehensive experience across various domains, including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and distribution. Through hands-on exposure to manufacturing plants, systems, processes and strategic projects, participants will engage with senior leadership and emerging markets.
Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their supervisory skills, gain valuable insights into Lean & Six Sigma quality systems, and deepen their understanding of change management and global cultural perspectives. Assignments will be tailored to align with career interests, development areas, and business needs, ensuring a deep dive into relevant topics.
Examples of roles that alumni have pursued 3-5 years after completing the program and gaining initial experience in the business include Production Leader, Operational Excellence Manager, Project Manager, Engineering Manager.

Over the course of three years, you will participate in four nine-month job rotations in different areas of Integrated Supply Chain Operations in our Life Sciences business.

- USA: Bachelor´s degree with good academic performance in mechanical, chemical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
- Rest of world: Master’s degree with good academic performance in mechanical, chemical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
- Recently graduated or expected to graduate this year
- International experience through internships
- Flexible with mobility during and after the program.
The OLDP admits new Graduates once a year in September in seven different countries (i.e. Germany, USA, China, India, France, Switzerland, and Ireland).

During the OLDP, you will work in various locations within your home country due to the program's immersive nature. A core pillar of the program is international exposure, achieved through collaborative partnerships and business travel as necessary, based on assigned projects.
Rotation assignments for the OLDP are determined based on business needs and growth opportunities. While trainee preferences are considered, the final rotation decisions are made by the program management team. The goal is to provide a diverse range of assignments, enabling you to gain various experiences and expand your professional network.
Life Science R&D Process Solutions
what is it about?
The program aims to provide Graduates with in-depth knowledge & insights into multiple aspects of our R&D work of our Life Science business. Through three rotations Graduates will gain comprehensive exposure, preparing them for R&D roles in process solutions as part of the Life Science business.
Examples of roles that alumni have pursued 3-5 years after completing the program and gaining initial experience in the business are, (Application) Engineer or Scientist. These positions will skills and insights developed during the track, facilitating a smooth transition into impactful roles within our Life Science landscape.

The program consists of 3 rotations (9/6/9 months). The first rotation will be at your home base, the second will be international at a subsidiary, and the third one, depending on Graduate profile, can be within original function but with different scope or in another function.
